 Print to E-Text Document Conversion
BAS offers conversion of standard print text (books, texts, and reading packets, etc.) to E-text via an OCR scanning process. The output can be provided in RTF, Word, PDF, Kurzweil 1000/3000, or Text files. We also accept non accessible PDFs and scans for OCR conversion.
The process is simple. The customer will submit a request online and receive an order confirmation; then ship the material to the address listed on our web site. Once the materials are received by BAS, the material will be converted to the appropriate format requested. The newly converted electronic files will be delivered via the Internet immediately. The rebound book and data compact disc with all associated files will then be shipped back to your office.
Document Conversion Pricing:
25 cents per page for Standard Document Conversion,
50 Cents per page for Document Conversion with Individual Page Optimization.
Document Conversion with Individual Page Optimization improves accuracy of pages that have tables or advanced formating. BAS will utilize different OCR engines and techniques to improve accuracy on pages that do not have high accuracy with the Standard Document Conversion.
Turnaround time for standard editing is 5 days from receipt of your source document. Document Conversion with Individual Page Optimization may require up to 10 workdays to assure the highest accuracy.
We specialize in providing quick turnaround of textbooks that contain small amounts of images and graphics. Textbooks which contain large amounts of graphics and images are best converted in house because they require someone with the specific knowledge of the individual text.
